We have struggled with this question off-and-on throughout the history of the bakery. There is on doubt that our breads taste best the day they are baked. That's why we bake just enough to sell each day. That said, the bread is still very good after a few days and does freeze well. So we have successfully shipped to some regular customers who "restock" their freezers with Cole's Peace bread because they can't make it to Key West in person. Please be advised of a few facts about shipping our bread that are beyond our control:
- The cost of shipping is high. Four loaves shipped overnight can easily run over $50 for shipping alone.
- We cannot guarrantee bread's freshness when it arrives. While we ship our bread the day it is baked, we have no control over what happens when it leaves our bakery. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund any of the costs associated with shipping bread.
- Baguettes and Cuban Bread loaves cannot be shipped. They are only fresh the day they are made. Country Italian should only be shipped overnight for similar reasons.
- We don't take bread orders online, you should contact the bakery directly to arrange details over the phone. We take Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
- Since we only bake as much bread as we sell each day, we need 24-48 hour's notice to add your order to the next production. We are happy to schedule your order around a specific delivery date as well.
- If you live in the Florida Keys, we have had very good success shipping UPS ground and having the bread arrive the next day to places like Marathon, Islamorada and Key Largo.
